Hi….my name is Becky….and I’m a bad blogger!!!

Actually, it’s not that I’m a bad blogger. I’d like to think I’ve been fairly good at this whole blogging thing…just check the archives! I’ve just been alittle too busy to notice that TWO MONTHS have gone by and I have not touched this thing!! My gosh!  I do have a good reason, I promise. #1 is that I’ve been a busy bee with all the new and repeat clients I’ve seen in the last few months…and #2, which is the biggie….is

WE’RE GOING TO HAVE A BABY!!!!

Yup, that is the word on the street and we are beyond thrilled. As thrilled as we are…this has been by far the WORST I have felt in all of my life. I wish I was kidding. I am about to enter my 5th month and these last 4 months have been pure misery. Everything from toilet-hugging sickness, nausea, incredibly painful heartburn (ALREADY!!!), pure exhaustion, back pain, leg pain….am I boring you yet? haha! I honestly did not have some of this stuff with Ava until the very end, or at all even. So I’m alittle taken back by it. I appreciate you all (especially my husband) for your patience with me during this time as this has really slowed me down. It has been a real struggle to stay ‘on top of things’ lately.

Some crazy things…just to name a few….I was driving to a session the other day around 2ish…and my eyes felt sooo heavy, as if it were going on 3am. I was honestly falling asleep. I literally had to pray to God above to help me stay awake while driving (and at the session). Fast forward a few days, my heels (of all things!!) felt like they were stuffed with a sack of stones. Excrutiating pain!! And here recently, painful painful hiccups that swell from the pit of my gut only to feel like i’m releasing herds of elephants as my mouth opens. Yeah…can someone please tell me what the heck this is?? All I have to say is that this baby better have a good explanation when he/she comes out (nope, we’re not finding out).

So…having said all that, know that I am still here and will attempt to not fall behind going forward. I have alot of exciting stuff and sessions to share.  And to start things off…here is a cutie I photographed recently. It wasnt a first for us…and it better not be the last…haha…j/k Beth!

As I was making my way through my daily weekly etsy searches, I came across a little treat! We all love neat decor for our children’s room or play rooms. And we love it even more (some of us), if it has their name on it. A touch of personalization never hurt anyone. I LOVE the new poster prints that are really in now.  THIS etsy shop called  The Paper Tray has a fun twist on the alphabet poster.  Your child’s name just POPs in the middle of it! How fun is that? (check out all their other goodies while you’re there)

You can mat it and use a sleek Ikea frame for a modern look, or you can go crazy and add a vintage look by getting a victorian style frame, spray paint it white or something funky, and having it stand out that way. If you’re not a frame kinda person, you can always have it mounted to a matboard at your local frame shop, and just prop it up on a ledge or shelf. The possibilities are endless, and that’s why I love it!  Ava has an alphabet and number poster in her room, and I have it framed in sleek, white frames…adds so much to her colorful room

Alright…have a few announcements to make. Please dont skip over ANY of this, or you’re missing out big time. (There..I put the fear of AP in ya)! HA

So…first off.  I will be having my first EVER MATILDA JANE trunk show this month and I am SOOOO excited?  Never heard of Matilda Jane? I really feel for ya! No really, by far some of the most unique and creative clothes out there. Their fabrics, layers, designs…they are just TO DIE FOR.  Not to mention…they are a photographer’s dream! They photograph beautifully and if I were to host any show…THIS would be it.  Check out their site www.matildajaneclothing.com and their blog www.matildajaneblog.com.  They should have sneak peaks of the new 2010 spring line soon. BUT…dont settle on that…you’ve GOT to come see them for yourself.  Come mingle and go through the clothes yourself! Ok…moving on!  A couple weeks ago…I had the opportunity to work on shoot with Alabama Baby Magazine for an article in this month’s issue. I posted a contest on FACEBOOK regarding this article b/c I was soo excited that my pictures would actually be in print!! In a real magazine!!  Anyway, i was in a hurry when I posted it, and obviously did not think it through enough (being so pooped from that day and all)…b/c I had someone call me out on it shortly afterwards.
