I know it’s been real quiet on the blog, but I have just been too busy and too tired. I’ve got sessions loading, others being edited, orders being processed, emails being answered, AND I’ve been out of town a good bit in the last week or more….etc etc. Just the other day I shipped out about 18 orders, processed several others, designed a few albums, and still working on some last minute sessions I need to get out. I’m trying sooo hard to finish everything up before I leave so that I can leave with a clean slate and 1) enjoy a ‘true’ vacation (sleeping, actually READING some books, spending time with family, travelling) and 2) not have to keep any of my amazing clients waiting too long on anything. But I do have to say that I appreciate everyone of you and the fact that so many of you are so happy that I get to go on this little get away…means alot! Because I’m getting E-X-C-I-T-E-D!! ok…and a little stressed out seeing that i’m not packed yet. lol

Anyhoo…..over the next few days, I’ll try and find time to post a few more sessions, b/c I do have plenty to choose from. But if i dont, I know you’ll forgive me

Ok…so here is this awesome family that the below dad belongs to. When mom first contacted me, she told me she wanted to capture their family in a fun, loving, candid way. She really wanted to bottle the connection they have now. In other words…she didnt want the ‘perfect portrait’, and let me tell you that is music to my ears. This session was so laid back and so fun and so REAL! I didnt want it to end. I believe that so many of the pictures really did capture their love, and i told them that before I even left that evening. Thanks guys!!

It had been a couple of years or so since i’ve seen Mr. B. I remember them pulling up to the location, and I literally said…”ok…where’s little man?!” Out of the car popped a strapping young lad…his baby days were long gone and he has grown into such a fun, loving boy! He looked so different and so growny…I couldnt believe my eyes. I know my little friends change over the years, but you’re never prepared for your reaction when you see just HOW MUCH they’ve changed.

I had so much fun at our session! I’ve got to say…as a photographer, I’ve always wanted the ’super-hero cape, running through the field’ session. But you never want to really fabricate anything like that. So you KNOW i was bubbling over with excitement when mom pulled out his superhero cape and said she’d love some pictures. I was beside myself. We got sooo many cute ones, but here are just a couple I may just have to start a ‘featured session’ on my website and post this whole session (hmmm…i think i will actually)

I normally dont ever do much processing on my images, but some of them just fit a certain look real well. I love the warm, antique wash on this one. This is just soo sweet!
