This was day one, and then we had to finish on day 2. I’m glad I came back for round 2…literally there were storms outside the first day we shot. So we shot some, then waited for the rain to pass and get some decent light, shot some more…and so on. When I came back, everything was great! And little miss photogenic was loving the camera and the camera loved her!

And I almost left this shot out…but after looking at it again, I thought wow. First off…will you please look at that face!! Secondly, children put off so many different emotions within minutes. I’m sure mommy has seen this face many many times. love it

Cut-ayyy!

SOOOO many cuties to post…and soo little time to do it. I’m officially tired and going to bed (almost 1am), but will be back soon with many more posts that I’ve (once again) fallen behind on.

Couldnt post without a picture, so I picked one at random and this was the lucky one! I actually remember it standing out to me as I looked through this session on my camera. Cant wait to get through the rest of these.

Worth the trip

This next family from Nashville contacted me some time ago for a session. Mom really did the research for their session. They choose to travel to a little place outside of Nashville, called Franklin TN for their session. Ok…if you’ve never been there, you need to check it out. Such a cute and quaint little town. Was perfect for the look mom wanted these pictures to have. I heard that there are quite a few big country stars that live there too.

A little shy at first, but she warmed up in no time, and I think we got more than mom probably thought we would get! I love pleasant surprises Love the pigtails and rosy cheeks!

This precious family has a family member out west that just started making children’s clothing (mind you….she’s been making clothes/costumes for a lot longer, but just now putting her talents in kids clothes.) Her clothing line is called RED POPPY DESIGNS (so cute), and it’s very unique, with a vintage feel. Her fabrics are definitely one of a kind, and the detail is just so yummy! She made this dress and has so many other cute ones (Ava has 2 of her dresses, I’ll have to post pics of those). But please go check her out HERE! You’ll thank me later!

**ok…just realized that my previous post stayed in my DRAFT folder for over a week when the whole time I thought I posted it. Told you I was majorly jetlagged!! Hopefully I will get some much needed rest on our beach trip that we’re leaving for tomorrow. I have been on the go since I’ve been back w/ sessions, orders, going out of town, etc. So yes, the madness has already started. But it’s far from over. Dont forget about fall/christmas pictures! These book soo quickly, and with this year’s special (stay tuned)…they’ll go even quicker!**

Back home….

…and back to reality. I was definitely ready for the ‘home’ part, but not the reality part. I could actually use a few more weeks off, if I were completely honest. I have never been so jet-lagged in my life. I think both Ava and I are feeling it. I have been just BLAH ever since I got back. It’s like neither of us can get enough sleep. She has gotten up close to 9am every morning (giving her about 13 hrs a night) AND she is taking longer naps than ever. Not complaining….just sayin’.

Well, I still have soo many pictures from our trip to share. But now that I’m back, it will probably be a while before I’ll get to them as you guys come first. Yup you!! I’ll probably just sneak in a few here and there throughout the next few weeks.

Back to posting more summer cuties. I still have a few sessions left from before I left that i’d like to share, and then it will be back to our regular program here at AP!

Ok…so everyone knows i’m a sucker for good color…but sometimes I’ll see an image in b+w and I realize that nothing else needs to be done to it. Like the pictures of sweet little miss ‘E’. She’s in my WatchMEGrow plan and such a cutie patootie!
