The wonderful age of 5

I need more kids this age please. Will someone please send some my way! I had too much fun with ‘J’.  She had so much personality and spunk.  The thing about a 5 year old is that they do not meet a stranger. They want to tell you about everything, and they want to show you all the cool stuff they can do. They also think you’re hilarious!!! :-)   In my case….all the above worked very well!

Ok…so i have been obsessed with this old, shed-looking thing on the side of the road. There is a new subdivision being built on this particular road, and it used to be a field. When I went there with Ava, it looked like it had been freshly mowed, but I thought…we’re still doing it. I cant pass up my ’shed’ picture.  Ava had no interest in being there. Luckily I had my niece with me to help out. I was doing everything..singing songs, jumping up and down, and pretending I was falling down…rolling around in the dead field grass.  I KNOW people driving by were thinking, that poor girl! HA!  Well, apparently, mr. lawn mower man mowed over some antbeds…probably ant mansions…b/c these ants were MAD. And they took it out on me. Before I knew it, I felt pinches everywhere. My niece was brushing them off my back, and out of my hair, and they were all over my legs. Yes, folks, they got INSIDE my clothes.  I have never been so uncomfortable driving, and I’ve never been so ready to hit a shower. When I walked through my doors, I went straight there, and sure enough…there were many more.  I counted 15 bites…and that is what I could see with my own eyes, lol.  And if you’ve ever had a fire ant bite you, you know how nasty those bites get. My legs, arms, back and stomach looked pretty disgusting, I’m not gonna lie.  It was only when I opened the below and above pictures when i thought….” I would do it all over again!!!”   It really was so worth it!

My serious girl…

LOVE her little pout!

In my attempt to get caught up…

First a little trip to Smith Lake. We got some cool pics on the boat, dock, and bank. These are some of my favorites of the brothers:

And next, Mr. personality! He was sooo cute! And so polite. I remember riding in the car with them, and his mom gave him some water, and he said, ‘Thank you momma’…in his sweet little boy voice! I couldnve eaten him up right there!

six years…

6 years of laughter. 6 years of happy tears and hardship tears. 6 years of striving to become a godly wife, and yup…6 years of falling short, and learning from each mistake. 6 years of waking up to the same person with a smile on my face. 6 years of looking forward to hearing his key in the door at the end of the day. 6 years of seeking God together. 6 years of counting our blessings, in the good and the bad. 6 years of memories….and so many more to come.  6 years of life and love with the person that I call my best friend.  He is a God-send! And I love him with everything that I am.  Happy {6th} anniversary honey!  I just felt like everyone should know that I’m the luckiest girl alive!!!!  :-)

What a yucky day…

I’m seriously thinking of changing my website to say…  “Seattle children’s photography’.  Seriously?? Will the sun ever shine again?  Well, here’s a little munchkin that was just a ray of sunshine herself! Grandma booked the session (which I think is so neat), and she had fun hamm-ing it up!
